Aboca Italia's Research and Development group recently successfully completed a Lean-In program

🎉 Our team has reached a great milestone!🎉

We are pleased to announce that Aboca Italia 's Research and Development group has recently successfully completed a Lean Induction program aimed at improving the performance of its internal processes. This important project was led by Dr. Claudio Ernesto Mario Manzati , CEO of Lean Institute Italia, with the support of Dr. Lucia Mancusi .

The program, which took place from 10 to 14 June at the Aboca headquarters in San Sepolcro (AR), involved two key teams:

- The APS Group, dedicated to the research and development of new plant extracts.

- The product group responsible for the formulation of the final products.

An innovative and collaborative approach characterized the entire process. Managers from both groups swapped leadership roles and the teams were composed of a mixed mix of researchers and technicians from both areas. This method promoted a new vision of the processes, improved mutual understanding and stimulated synergies through constructive comparisons and knowledge sharing.

The following key topics were covered during the training:

1. Introduction to Lean concepts and their history

2. Value orientation

3. Types of waste (7+1)

4. The 5S

5. KPIs and metrics

6. Problem solving (PDCA - DMAIC)

7.Standard work

8. Idea management (innovation)

9th A3 report

10. Kaizen One Pager (KOP)

11. Practical cases of improvement projects

🔍 Concrete results have already been achieved! Immediate improvement projects include:

- Optimization of internal warehouse management.

- Improved compilation of the electronic laboratory notebook.

- Increase global performance, monitored with specific KPIs.

Thanks to these results, Aboca's Scientific Director has decided to continue the path with the continuous support of the Lean Institute Italia, with fortnightly meetings via videoconference and quarterly face-to-face meetings, with the intention of extending the initiative to other areas of the company.

Special thanks go to Aboca for their trust and collaboration. We are honored to have contributed to the success of this project by sharing our know-how with a motivated and passionate team.

Thanks to the entire Aboca team for their energy and commitment!
